Terms of Service
Last updated: 18 August 2026
These terms are an agreement between you (the store that opens an account) and BasketBooster EOOD, UIC 208871783, VAT No. BG208871783, str. dr. Lyuben Popov 24A, ap. 5, Varna, Bulgaria ("BasketBooster", "we"). They apply from the moment you create an account. If you use BasketBooster on behalf of a company, you confirm you may bind that company.
The service is meant for businesses. It is not offered to consumers, so consumer-protection rules for distance contracts do not apply to the subscription itself.
1. What the service is
BasketBooster adds product recommendations, product search, demand forecasting and customer analytics to your online store. You connect your catalog and order data, place our widget or plugin in your store, and the dashboard shows you the results.
The exact feature set depends on your plan. Plans and current prices are listed on the pricing page, which is part of these terms.
2. Your account
Keep your login details and API keys secret. Everything done through your account or keys counts as done by you, so tell us right away if you think a key leaked and we will rotate it.
Give us accurate contact and billing details and keep them current. We send service messages (verification, security, billing, alerts you asked for) to the account email.
3. Trial, plans and payment
Every account starts with a 14-day free trial. No card is needed and the trial ends by itself: if you do not pick a paid plan, the service simply stops serving recommendations until you do. We do not charge you silently.
Paid plans renew monthly through our payment provider Stripe. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store them. Stores installed through Shopify are billed through Shopify instead.
Each plan includes a monthly quota of recommendation requests. If you outgrow it we will tell you before anything is limited, and over-quota traffic degrades gracefully rather than breaking your store.
If a payment fails, the service keeps running through a grace period stated in the dashboard. After that it pauses until payment succeeds. We may change prices with at least 30 days notice by email; the new price applies from your next renewal.
4. Your data, your shoppers
Your catalog, your order history and your shoppers' behavioural data stay yours. We process them only to run the service for you, under the Data Processing Addendum, which is part of these terms.
For your shoppers you are the data controller. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect their data, and for a privacy notice in your store that covers analytics and personalisation tools such as BasketBooster.
We do not sell your data and we do not use one store's data to improve another store's results.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for a store whose products or content are illegal where you sell;
- probe, overload or disrupt the service, or use it to build a competing product;
- resell access to the service without our written agreement;
- send us data you have no right to share.
API usage must stay within the documented limits. We may throttle traffic that threatens the stability of the platform for other customers.
6. Intellectual property
We own the service, its software and its branding. You get a non-exclusive licence to use them while your subscription runs. You own your data and your store; nothing here transfers any of it to us.
7. Availability and support
We run the service with care but do not promise uninterrupted availability. The widget is built to fail quietly: if our servers are unreachable, your store keeps working and simply shows no recommendations.
Support is provided by email in Bulgarian and English. Response times depend on the plan.
8. Liability
Forecasts, suggestions and analytics are decision support, not guarantees. Ordering decisions, pricing decisions and their outcomes remain yours.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for all claims in any 12-month period is capped at the fees you paid us in those 12 months, and neither side is liable for indirect damages such as lost profits. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent or gross negligence.
9. Ending the agreement
You can cancel at any time from the dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; we do not refund started months.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, after a warning where that is reasonable. On termination we delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Addendum, keeping only what tax and accounting law requires.
10. Changes and law
We may update these terms. For meaningful changes we give at least 30 days notice by email; continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by Bulgarian law and disputes belong to the competent court in Varna, Bulgaria. Questions: support@basketbooster.eu.
